b. After 3 hours, 38.257 milligrams of the drug is administered to the patient

the patient's bloodstream after t hours is given by,

       [tex]D(t) = 60ex^{-0.15t}[/tex]

At initially,  t = 0

     [tex]D(0) = 60e^{-0.15(0)}\\=60 milligrams[/tex]

After 3 hours,  substitute t = 3

      [tex]D(3) = 60e^{-0.15(3)}\\\\= 60e^{-0.45}\\\\=38.257 milligrms[/tex]
