Respuesta :

The headline is mostly accurate because the events of the time supported a stirring of religion in the American colonies.

You did not include the picture in question so my answer will be limited but I believe the headline was mostly accurate.

This question is based on life in the 1700s which was the time of the Great Awakening in the colonies where:

  • Christianity went through a revival as people rededicated their lives to God
  • there was an increase in religious tolerance
  • Presbyterians and Baptists saw their numbers rise
  • Black people became more involved with the Protestant cause

For all these to happen, preachers often went into the streets to preach to people. It is not far-fetched to say that they would get very excited by the words of the preachers because that would likely be the only way the changes above happened.

In conclusion, the headline was most probably accurate because it was set in the time of the Great Awakening.
