Cody clams that when 1/6 is multiplied by a negative number, the result will
always be less than 1/6 Do you agree with Cody? Explain. Give examples to support
your answer.

Respuesta :

Cody is correct.

If you multiply 1/6, which is a positive number, by any negative number, then the result will be negative.  All negative numbers are less that 1/6, because all negative numbers are to the left of 1/6 on the number line.

1/6 * (-12) = -2 and -2 < 1/6

1/6 * (-1/10) = -1/60 and -1/60 < 1/6
