Do you have to make a joke when you are making a campaign speech to be a president?

I honestly don't think you HAVE to but I think and know other people would think that when presidents aremaking a speech there should be you know something funny in between the lines  to make the mood a bit humorous

It would probably useful to break the ice a bit and make you less nervous but I don't think it's totally necessary.
