IF we knew how many children there were, what would we do to find out how much pie each child got? Of course, we would divide! Soooo....
6 (mangos) divided by x (the number of children) = 5/6
Now, we solve for x!

So, our first step in the equation 6/x=5/6 would be to multiply, because multiplication is the opposite of division! So, just let me see if I can work this.....
6/x(×)5/6
So, we now can cross multiply and get...
5x=36 (Because 5 time x is 5x and 6 times 6 is 36)
Now, we divide!
So, 5x/5 cancels out and we get just plain little x. 36/5 gives us.....
Improper Fraction Form: 36
Mixed Number Form: 7 1/5
Decimal Form: 7.2
