Answer:

Two find the two terms from a sum of two consecutive odd integers

Let the first term be, n

Then the next consecutive odd number is. n + 2

So the two terms sum to n + n +2 = 16

so 2n + 2 =16

Subtract 2 from both sides

2n = 14

Divide both sides by 2

n = 7 which is the first term

and n + 2 = 7 +2 = 9 is the second term
