Analysis of the rhetorical appeals of Adam Alter's text must be determined by your interpretation of that text and your perception of how Adam Alter tries to persuade his readers. This analysis cannot be done by me, however, I will show you how you can do it.

First, it is necessary that you read the entire text of Adam Alter and understand well, not only the message of the text, but the objectives of the text in relation to the reader.

By realizing these goals, you will be able to understand the rhetorical appeals used. These rhetorical appeals are called pathos, ethos and logos and you can identify them as follows:

  • Ethos: When the author tries to convince the reader with ethical and moral concepts. In this case, the author can use political, social and behavioral and personality concepts.
  • Pathos: When the author tries to persuade readers of emotional and sentimental concepts. In this case, the author uses words that stimulate strong and impactful emotions in readers.
  • Logos: The author uses logical concepts to persuade readers. This author presents concepts that stimulate reasoning and show logical and easily proven situations and concepts.

After identifying the rhetorical appeals in the text, you should write a paragraph presenting them and showing how the author develops them, as well as showing whether they are effective in the text.
