Respuesta :

1. The Serbian became less defensive after the discussion with the speaker 2 because the speaker asked to hear his side of the story as well.

At  first, the Serbian was cordial, but distant and almost hostile, as he attacked speaker 2's country and her known intervention in crises of other countries, but when speaker 2 asked to hear his side of the story, he became less defensive and they had a conversation about their different perspectives.

2. The speaker brought in the example of negotiators from the US Amazon and Brazilian Havaianas flip flops to show one of the three key stages of reaching mutual understanding which was to recognize differences.

3. The assumptions mentioned about Korean colleagues that foreign managers made while working at Samsung was the stereotype that the Koreans were "hierarchical and collectivistic".

This made them to oversimplify and make erroneous assumptions which got them into a lot of trouble.

4. The not-invented-here (NIH) syndrome simply means that people from a particular culture might be reluctant to implement ideas gotten from another culture.
