The correct answer to this open question is the following.
Indeed, globalization revolutionized societies around the world during the 20th century. It has allowed people, cultures, and ideas to spread rapidly to areas that may not have had access to them before.
Although this process is still ongoing, my predictions about this worldwide phenomenon are the following.
1.- Globalization will continue to affect the world in the 21st century. However, more and more nations are changing their minds and had elected conservative candidates or nationalistic politicians to be their presidents. This completely changes the nature of globalization.
2.- Nations will continue to trade but there will be more emphasis on the creation of trade associations or regions to only trade between the existing members. The differences between UMSCA (former NAFTA-the North America Trade Agreement) with the European Union(EU), would be more prominent in the exchange of products and services.
3.- Politics and militarism will represent a major hinder to globalization.
Political differences had threatened the world with the use of weapons in different regions of the planet. The Middle East, for instance, or the continuous nuclear threat of countries such as Iran or North Korea. These regional conflicts will represent considerable obstructions to globalization and trade.
The fear of pandemics and the spread of disease will represent a major threat to globalization.
