Algebra

The answer to this problem is to simply simplify it.

[tex] \frac{1}{2} n + 3 < 5[/tex]

Subtract three from both sides.

[tex] \frac{1}{2} n < 2[/tex]

Multiply both sides by two.

[tex]n < 4[/tex]

Meaning, n is anything below four.
