Karen Contreras
Karen is a 19-year-old soccer player from Nicaragua. She was born in a very small town near the capital city of Managua.
When she was just five, she realized that she was very good at sports, particularly soccef. She started training with the local team and became a professional when she was only 16.
But her career has been very difficult. She had to work very hard to make a name for herself. Women's soccer is not very popular in Nicaragua, so there are not many opportunities. However, she will keep playing and try to open new paths for future women soccer players.
