It generated mutual rejection and distrust. Because of the hostility in the area, Israel is a militaristic state that considers Palestinians as second class citizens. Many Palestinian have migrated as refugees while many others endure Israeli control. Since 1948, Arab-Palestinian have fought to have their own independent state, what they have is a semi autonomous territory within Israel.
