I'm not sure if the - sign on 0.3 is 0.3^- or not tho.
However, here's the fact "a rational number is a number that can be written as a ratio."
So for example, 8 is a rational number because it can be written as a fraction 8/1.
Irrational numbers are not rational. Like [tex] \pi [/tex] or [tex] \sqrt{7} [/tex](=2.645751....)
