In the protocol
considerations, it was suggested that you use a blank solution containing the
fertilizer solution when obtaining the absorbance spectra in the
spectrophotometric procedure to account for the presence of light absorbing
dyes in the fertilizer, so the %P2O5 will really be affected because dyes
present is not included in the calculation
