first use the point slope form
y-y1=m(x-x1)
plug in the ordered pair to the y1 and x1 so
y--3=m(x--8)
add the slope and make the double minus into a plus
y+3=34(x+8)
then you can distribute the 34
y+3=34x+272
then to get it to slope intercept you subtract 3 from both sides of the equation to make it y=mx+b so
y=34x+269
