11: Refrain from taking life.
-Refrain from taking what is not given. Not stealing from anyone.
-Refrain from the misuse of the senses.
-Refrain from wrong speech. Not lying or gossiping about other people.
-Refrain from intoxicants that cloud the mind.
12: By converting to Buddhism, members of the lower caste could escape the discrimination they have suffered under the caste system and be treated as equals by other Buddhists.
