i need help with solving the inequality and graphing it on the number line. the inequality is 5+7x less than -2.

minus 5 from both sides
7x<-7
divide both sides by 7
x<-1

so, since we have < and not ≤, we do not include -1
draw a circle around -1 on teh number line and shade left
