Pretty please HELP MEEEE A circular flower bed is 19 m in diameter and has a circular sidewalk around it that is 3 m wide. Find the area of the sidewalk in square meters. Use 3.14 for pi.

SA is the area of flowerbed

  • radius is 9.5 m (diameter, 19, divided by 2)
  • Ï€(r)²
  • 3.14(9.5)²
  • 3.14(90.25)
  • SA =  283.385 m²

LA is the large area of both flowerbed and sidewalk together

  • Adding 9.5 and 3 together, the total radius is 12.5 m
  • Ï€(r)²
  • 3.14(12.5)²
  • 3.14(156.25)
  • LA = 490.625 m²

Subtract SA from LA in order to find teh area of sidewalk.

A = 283.385 - 490.625 = 207.24  m²

ANSWER:  207.24 m² is the area of the sidewalk
