glucose is absorbed by cells in two areas GI tract and your kidney. It's too big to diffuse itself through the membrane, so it's transported by Secondary Facilitated Diffusion, sodium then attaches itself to the protein channel in the cell membrane, which causes a change in shape. This allows glucose to "bind" to the protein; to lower concentration of glucose inside the cell than outside, so it basically goes through the protein channel, the loss of the sodium & glucose allows the protein to revert back to its normal & original shape & the same thing happens all over again
