When you multiply fractions, you are just multiplying straight accross.
EXAMPLE: 1/2 x 1/3 = 1/6
When you dive fractions, you flip the second fraction and then multiply
EXAMPLE: 1/2 divided by 1/3
1/2 divided by 3/1 = 3/2
3/2 = 1 and 1/2

When multiplying fractions you simply multiply the numerator together and then the denominator together. An example=

1/2 x 3/4, you simply do 3 x 1/ 4 x 2, which should give you an answer of 3/8

When dividing fractions you have to flip the second fraction and make the division sign into a multiplication sign. An example;

3/4 divided by 1/8

1) you flip the second fraction so you get 3/4 divided by 8/1, then you flip the divided by into times by so you get

3/4 x 8/1, then you can just multiply the numerators and denominators together to get 24/4, which is 6
