Which answer accurately describes the difference between speed and velocity?

Question options:

Gravity affects speed. Gravity does not affect velocity.

Speed requires distance. Velocity requires displacement.

Speed is the result of a change in direction. Velocity is the result of a change in acceleration.

Speed measures a change in inertia. Inertia remains the same in velocity.

Respuesta :

I think the correct answer from the choices listed above is the second option. The difference between speed and velocity would be that speed  requires distance. Velocity requires displacement. Speed only has a magnitude while velocity is a vector quantity which means it has direction and magnitude.

i just took the test and it said that this is the answer

Speed is the distance per unit of time. Velocity is the displacement per unit of time
