Because they are 2 different political parties and one thinks in a different way
Answer:
A faction is a group that tries to promote their political values. Factions are problems in the government because they cause a great divide and instability within the government. Pure democracy has no cure for the mischiefs of faction because the bigger faction has control and will always put down the weaker one.
How to eliminate evils of faction?
- By eliminating its causes (liberty and the freedom to have different opinions and values).
- By managing and regulating the effects of it.
Two options that Democracy is against of. On the other hand, in republics there are more factions with less power and control, but in a pure democracy there is usually one strong faction that dominates all the others. Large republics will have more factions with less power. Small republics will have stronger and fewer factions that have the ability to control more. Typically in smaller republics a dominant faction arises, thus making it that large republics do a better job of controlling the effects of factions.
