I could infer that the boy in the black jacket is making an apology to the boy with the red backpack. The boy in the black jacket must have done something to upset or hurt the boy's feelings. The apologizing boy must have a good conscience to apologize for whatever he did wrong. The boy in the red backpack seems to be listening to his apology, thinking of what is hurting him.

I think the story behind this is the boy with the red jacket is getting bullied. The other boy in the camo seems to be comforting him. I assume that this boy is his friend. That boy has his hand resting on the other boys arm that makes me think he is trying to get him to feel better about a situation that just happened. This plays into the picture as well because the boy is not giving him any bad or foul looks and the boy in the camo seems to be telling him something that he thinks will make it better due to the expression oh his face.
