x+ y =42 ... 1

Four years ago

Guison age = x - 4

x - 4 = 2(y-4)

x - 4 = 2y - 9

x - 2y = -9+4

x - 2y = -5 .... 2

Substract 1 from 2;

y + 2y = 1+5

3y = 6

From 1;

x = 42 - y
