Regroup to express the number in a different way.
9,150 = 9 thousands + 1 hundred + 5 tens
9,150 = 8 thousands + * hundreds + 5 tens
Please help

This is one of those problems where the way it is worded is more confusing than the actual problem. You’ve got this.

100 x 10 = 1,000

So when they took away one thousand, they added 10 hundreds. So now you have
8 thousands
11 hundreds
And 5 tens
