Because of the development of the oil industry, the countries like the likes of Kuwait and Saudi Arabia experienced rapid economic growth. This economic growth contributed to the quick development of the urban areas, and the people from all over the countries saw an opportunity for better job and life into the urban areas so rushed into them. This resulted into them becoming one of the most urbanized countries in the world, with Kuwait reaching an incredible 98% of urban areas, and Saudi Arabia 81% of urban areas. This trend is continuing and it will be no miracle if both of the countries in the near future get to a point of 100% urban areas.
