Book: letters from a patchwork quilt
Jack Brennan surprised me because of his sudden stop in the pursuit of his dreams. His character seemed to develop backwards, going from a hardworking young man who had grand dreams of going to America with the woman he loved, to an Alcoholic with no regard for his children. Granted that his life took many unfortunate turns, his constant giving into failure surprised me. Jacks life shows that the decisions of those you choose to surround yourself with effect you as a person, while the love of his life was in America he stayed behind in London forcing himself to forget all about her. His attitude had changed so quickly and i’ve always wondered why.
