How did Great Britain's slave trade act of 1803 contribute to the end of slavery in the Americas

The British Parliament held two investigations because of the loss of property and lives in the 1831 uprising. With the Slavery Abolition Act 1833, the findings of these investigations contributed greatly to the abolition of slavery. This caused uproar in the americas because the same thing could happen to them, and it did.
