Suppose a ship sinks in the middle of the ocean and it has a cargo of 28,000 rubber ducks. Instead of the ducks staying where the boat sunk at, the rubber ducks began to find their way to different coastlines as shown in the picture below. What do you think is causing the ducks to move in this pattern?
Tectonic plates shift all of the time, thats why we have oceans where we have oceans. So, the rubber ducks moed along the ocean patterns based off of the tetonic plates. I am pretty sure, hope this helps :).
