Students at Westfallia High School were curious about how wing shape affects glider flight. They decided to test four different designed wing shapes and measure glider flight distance. They figured wing style #3 would provide the best lift and stability. They used the same glider body on the same day with similar wind during each of the four trials. The four wing designs all had the same mass, just different shapes. All of the wing designs were variations of today’s standard design.
