so for the first one subtract 2x from both sides getting -y=-2x-1 and then multiply the entire equation by -1 and you end up with y=2x+1
and for the second one subtract 4x from both sides getting -2y=-4x-2, multiply the entire equation by -1 which gets you 2y=2x+2 and then divide the whole equation by 2 which brings you to y=2x+1
then getting rid of y and making them equal to each other gets 2x+1=2x+1 and therefore the answer is infinitely many solutions
