In a text, the narrator is sometimes called Omniscient. This means that the Narrator can be compared to God: He knows everything! He knows the Past, the present, and the future of the characters, he know their feelings and their emotions, he knows what they are thinking, he knows their point of view: All in All, he knows everything, and he shares his knowledge with the Reader.

Hope this Helps! :)
