What is the difference between Descriptive, Comparative, and Experimental investigations?

Descriptive Investigations- involve describing and/or qualifying parts of a natural system.
Comparative Investigations-involve collecting data from different populations/organisms under different conditions (so basically a comparison between the two).
Experimental Investigations- involving experiments to test the data hypothesized.

Descriptive is when something has a very detailed description usually containing ambitious vocabulary

Comparative is a similar to that of a simile. You can also be comparative when you are personifying things. You are comparing the inatimate object to a human

Experimental is when you try to use different and a variety of methods when writing, you would be broad with your choices and go with a different genre, theme or setting
