The incidents from Frankenstein that develop the theme of the power of nature are the use of lightning to bring the monster to life and, then, the monster’s existence after that. The use of nature in the form of lightning demonstrates that nature has the power to restore life to body parts in the form of the monster after they have already been dead. Too, the fact that Frankenstein went against nature by bringing what was already dead back to life was not without consequences, it seemed. Frankenstein’s crossing of nature by his deed had horrible consequences for him, which demonstrated that nature could not be gotten the better of—nature will always win.

Victor's trip to the mountains to ease his grief and the monster's response to the coming of spring are the incidents from Frankestein that most clearly developed the theme of the power of nature.
