The mean is when you add all the number togther and divide by the numbers added, e.g. 7 + 24 +19 +63 + 24 = 137/ 5 = 27.4. 

The median is the number in the middle of the numbers, e.g. the numbers above the median is 19, if you have an even amount of numbers you take the two in the center add them and divide by two, e.g. 7 + 24 + 19 + 63 + 4 + 63 19 + 63/2 = 41.
