The one important thing that binds these names together is the revolution. All of them were freedom fighters in different parts of the world. Apart from being revolutionaries, Jose Marti was a Cuban poet, Emilio Aguinaldo was a Philippine politician and Pancho Villa was a true revolutionary and a Mexican general.
To live in an independent Cuba was Jose Marti's ambition. In order to achieve his dream, he traveled to Spain, Latin America and USA where he created a Cuban emigre fraction and the latter was critical in Cuban War of Independence against Spain.
Emilio Aguinaldo was the first president of the Philippines. He fought against Spanish and American forces which was triggered by the revolution.
Pancho Villa was a key figure in Mexican Revolution. He started making his moves after another revolutionary figure, Francisco Madero challenged president Profirio Diaz. Villa joined the revolutionaries and went against Diaz.
