Well I do not have the lesson to cite answers, but here goes.  Ps I wrote this in 4 sentences I hope that fits guidelines with the paragraph.

Bilingualism is the ableness to speak two languages.  I think that teaching children a second language along with english is very important.  It can enable them to make friends and communicate with someone who also speaks that language.  Though the disadvantage would be that it is very hard to learn most languages and could be frustrating to the children.

Answer:

The advantages of bilingualism in childhood is that children can develop fluency in any language from ages 3-10, making it easier for the child to learn. This will help the child to make friends with other kids that speak that language (ex: The child knows English + Spanish so they are able to make friends with both speakers.) This will also help them because in the lesson it says, "Research also suggests that children who speak two languages may demonstrate enhanced problem solving and may better understand the structure of both languages."

However, the disadvantages of bilingualism in childhood is that it can be frustrating for the child to constantly switch back and forth between languages and being pressured to learn a new language. It tells you in the lesson as well, "Other research suggests, though, that bilingual children may have a smaller vocabulary in either language than children whose entire vocabulary is in a single language."

I take psychology in class so we may have the same text in our lesson, but if not you can always edit out the evidence!
