I'm assuming your talking about reformation and the long term effects were that Europeans would be divided into 2 religions protestants and catholics.These 2 sides would end up in wars and the reformation caused many people to open there eyes and interpret the Bible in there own way.Matin Luther would end up translating the Bible to German so now more people are able to interpret the Bible in there own way which gives the catholics church less power and control.The catholic church would end up loosing followers but in the coming future have to reform themselves because of this and how corrupt it was at the time.
