think 144/90 (make sure to keep that decimal place) now thats 1.6 so just add a 0 at the end of 144 so thats 1440/90 = 16 now you have to put the decimal in and it becomes 0.16. because you started 14.4 you took away the decimal so you already need to put it in front of 1 number in your answer than you add that 0 and so at the end of the problem when you get your answer you have to put the decimal in front of 2 numbers in your answer or look at the pic below and thats hoe to do the long division way.
