Write a polynomial expression that represents the total area of a square with a side length of (3x - 4).

We now that in order to calculate the area of a square we use the formula a^2

Where a=length of the side

So (3x-4)^2 that is the same as (3x-4)(3x-4)

Then just multiply each term by each term

The answer is 9x^2 - 24x + 16
