How do you solve for 2y=x+3

You divide everything by 2.
Your answer is
Y=1/2 + 3/2

so if you want to solve for x then
2y=x+3
subtract 3 from both sides
x=2y-3

if you want to solve for y
2y=x+3
divide both sides by 2
y=(x+3)/2
