Binary fission happen in favorable condtion where nucleus of (ex : amoeba) divides by mitosis giving two daughter cells and the mother cell disappears while multiple fission can happen in both favorable and unfavorable the nucleus undergoes repeated division to produce a large number of nuclei Each nucleus along with little bit of cytoplasm forms a membrane around it
