Why does jake get shocked when he touches the top on the plastic slide but Jacob doesn’t get shocked when he touches the underside?

Answer: As you slide down the plastic slide, electrons move from the plastic to you. Now you have extra electrons. Touch another person or an object (anything that isn't negatively charged by extra electrons) and ZAP!

technically, since no one is sliding down the other side of the slide there aren't any extra electrons being made, so you can't really get shocked.
