The Titanic was headed to New York on April 10, 1912. A few days later, the large ship hit an iceberg in the middle of the night, leaving it only a few hours to evacuate. Sadly, not enough people had access to life boats. On April 15, 1912, there were still roughly 1,500 passengers aboard the ship when it sank and they all fell into the Atlantic.

For me, the most memorable portion was when Mr. Ballard discovered the Titanic, a tragic tragedy. After spending so many hours trapped within the submarine, finding the ship was such a victory. The fact that Robert Ballard's ambitions of discovering the Titanic were ultimately realized made it particularly noteworthy. After reading this book, I can now claim that the greatest ship ever lost has been discovered.
A few years later, Robert Ballard and a handful of his naval team mates construct the a little submarine named after the Titanic, in order to examine it.
