To find the slope, first you must convert the equation to slope-intercept form. (formula for slope-intercept is y=mx+b)

y=-x-7/4

The slope is attached to the variable -x (it is represented by m) So, since there is no number attached to -x, we assume it is only -1x.

Slope(m)=-1
