All budgetary changes have consequences.

Describe the impact of the three largest cuts you made. How would these cuts impact the economy and the president’s reelection chances?

Explain your answer in at least four complete sentences.

My answer the question before this was The three cuts must be redirected to the defense sector, the congress salaries, and Grants/Loans. I think that education, health and agriculture sectors should not have any type of cuts because we need them so the country can have the economic, cultural growth helping the middle and lower class families especially. These two classes represent the majority of the population. Also leaving the main structure of the society that begins from the main organization that is composed by the family as a base.

Answer:

It depends on how equal the cuts would be, if it’s equally divided maybe it would work. However, equality does not mean equity because there are times that a President should really look on the matters that the people needed. In budgeting, we should list down our top to the least priorities and from there we can set where our taxes (money) will go. Thinking not just for the majority of the population but for keeping ALL the people in mind can help the President be re-elected.

Answer:

Because I chose to make cuts to education, this could mean that fewer citizens have the opportunities they need to get an education and receive a quality job. I also cut health spending, which means that less funding will go to hospitals and research. Finally, I chose to make cuts to income security, meaning that needy citizens may not receive resources. Each of these changes could result in fewer jobs, which in turn may hurt business.
