Vy = V Sin θ

where,

V = Velocity of Plane = (480 km/h)(1000 m/1 km)(1 h/3600 s) = 133.33 m/s

θ = Angle = 2°

Therefore,

Vy = (133.33 m/s)(Sin 2°)

Vy = 4.65 m/s
