Which words in this poem symbolize youth? There are more than one!

Wild Asters
by Sara Teasdale
In the spring, I asked the daisies
If his words were true,
And the clever, clear-eyed daisies
Always knew.
Now the fields are brown and barren,
Bitter autumn blows,
And of all the stupid asters
Not one knows.

A. Spring
B. Daisies
C. Brown
D. Barren
E. Autumn

Respuesta :

I think A. and B. I could be wrong but "spring is youthful"

and "daisies are flowering like a child". those are statements I found about spring and daisies

A. Spring ( This is the season where flowers bloom. Nature gives birth to flowers. If flowers blossom , they can do so because they are "young". The same happens to birds, mainly).

B. Daisies ( The flowers are  the ones who  apparently know about youth in the poet's words. The daises are the ones who will always look young and keep the true spirit of being young).

These words are not right:

C. Brown ( This is a dull colour. The poet has used it to describe barren, which is an adjective associated to old age, fields. )

D. Barren ( This means infertile. This can be generally associated to old women).

E. Autumn ( This season is generally associated to old age, or the time of life when people become older).
