You came from a family with a different religion, and you came to visit a family member who also have a different religion. How can you deal with them celebrating an event which is not practised in your side of the family?
I think this is more on what you would do, would you be fine with people celebrating an event you aren’t accustomed to? Or would it not matter to you and it’s alright. It’s your choice on what you believe in that practice.
