The GI Bill was a law passed by the federal government that would help veterans of World War II. This law included several different incentives for veterans including:
1) Low interest home loans- This allowed more families to buy homes rather than rent. Home ownership is often a key sign of a strong economy so when this bill passed, it helped the economy tremendously during the 1950's.
2) Tuition assistance- The GI Bill helped veterans pay for a college education or vocational training. This allowed for the development of a workforce that was highly skilled and educated, resulting in the increase of a professional jobs available to veterans.
